Julie said it so well and I just can't put words together, so, to find out what I'm talking about go
HERE and see for yourself. And in case you're wondering too... that little Alina she has pictured? We just got word that she passed away in an orphanage in Ukraine. Hug those babies close and go read what Julie has to say.
Oh, this is heartbreaking!
ReplyDeleteAt church today, we sang "Children of the Heavenly Father", a Swedish hymn written by Caroline V. Sandell-Berg in 1855. I was not previously familiar with it, but immediately thought of Emma and copied the words to send you. They apply to sweet Alina, too...and to all children who are given into our care:
ReplyDelete1.Children of the heavenly Father
softly in his bosom gather,
Nestling bird nor star in heaven
such a refuge e'er was given.
2. God his own doth tend and nourish
in his holy courts they flourish,
from all evil things he spares them
in his mighty arms he bears them.
3. Neither life nor death shall ever
from the Lord his children sever,
Unto them his grace he showeth
and their sorrows all he knoweth.
4.Though he giveth and he taketh
God his children ne'er forsaketh,
His the loving purpose solely
To preserve them, pure and holy.
Prayers for Emma, for her family, and for Alina and those who loved her....

You will be in our prayers.
