Something fun for everyone! (GIVE AWAY!)

While I'm spending the evening with family tonight and getting everything settled on the home front so I can leave, and then tomorrow while I'm traveling for a good 24 hours or so... I thought I'd post something fun for you all :)

So... here's the big question...

WHAT ARE YOUR NAME SUGGESTIONS FOR MONROE?! :)

Here's the rules: NO repeated initials (E, K, B, J, M, or L and no C since people would confuse that with Kristopher).  First or middle needs to be a Biblical name (Emma Hope, Kristopher Isaiah, Brianna Elizabeth, James Hunter, Micah Daniel, and Lynae Sarah).

If you are the first person to suggest a name AND we use it, I will send you a Ukrainian chocolate bar!

HERE'S THE ONLY CATCH: Please no more than 4 names per comment.  And play fair and let others comment too :).

Another give-away for Adoptive Parents coming up in just a few minutes!

  2. Sampson Micheal because he is a mighty warrior. I also like the names Levi & Jonah, but they'd have to be middle names.

Whatever his name is he is a blessed child to be a part of your family.

  27. Hello Safe Travels to you!
    Isaiah 41:10 Daniel 10:19

    King James Bible Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

    King James Bible Daniel 10:19
And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace [be] unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.

Even if he not named after these verses they are for him! I can not wait to see how he will grow and gain strength with his new family!

  29. Sorry I didn't read the "no more than four names" and I just LOVE boys names ;) Anyway, I don't want to play I just wanted to give some suggestions ;)

  30. Daniel (God is my Judge)... William (Will/desire)?- I love the "Daniel and the Lions den" story. and it fits!

David (Beloved) Matthew (Gift of God) I just love the meanings because you advocated for him and God gave you a gift when He gave you the "YES".

Good Luck! He sure is lucky to be coming into a family who loves him already!

  31. Asher is one of my favorites, and we can never use it because of our last name. Asher Parker just sounds silly.

  32. David Morgan

    Jeremy John

Mark Thomas (I know, wrong order, but couldn't he be called Thomas still? I know someone with this name and I really like it :-) )

    Simon Zachary

Name suggestions are always difficult when not in my mother tonhgue, but I really like names so I couldn't resist :-)

  36. My favorite boys name is Isaiah...but I think you said that was Kristopher's middle name. I do not think anyone has suggested Solomon (my son's name) or Zachariah my son's middle name. I love the meaning of Zachariah--remembered by the Lord.

  37. How about Thaddeus (Thad)?

Middle ~ maybe Maxim or Monroe?

  38. I tried to think of something that would sound familar to him so how about Roean Isaiah.

  39. Samuel David or Aaron Michael

  40. Grandmommy P here...I like Asher because it means Blessed and Nathanial is Gift of God. Meredith's one brother is David so that's probably not happening so he can use it if he ever wants to and Kristopher is Isaiah for a middle and Micah is Daniel for a middle so think those may be out too.

  46. I love figuring out how name meanings fit together, and this is the first chance I've ever had to do so while finding a name that "fits" a person.

Gabriel (God is my might) Landon (long hill)-combined meaning: despite the long hill I have to climb God is my might and will give me the strength to get there.

Noah (rest; comfort) Evan (God is gracious)-combined meaning: My gracious God will give me rest and comfort when the trials and tribulations of this life are behind me (just as Noah got the rest and comfort of land after his 40 days of trail)

    And my favorite...
Nathan (God has given) Isaac (he will laugh)-combined meaning (pretty obvious this time): God has given him laughter...judging by that beautiful smile I saw, there is quite a lot of laughter inside that little boy :)

  47. Owen Gabriel*

    Owen Levi

    Tanner Joseph

    Tanner Patrick

Owen is the only name that I could see for that sweet face. It means "well born," which he was in God's eyes and I'm sure yours as well! Owain was also a knight of the Round Table.

You are all so blessed to have found each other!

  50. Asher Matthew (meaning "happy gift of the Lord")
Gabriel Timothy ("Strong man who honours his God")
Nathanael William ("God has given for protection")
Shiloh Thomas ("he who is to be sent a twin") (this name more because of the radical transformation you will be able to give "Monroe" as he comes from an institution to a forever family)

Oliver Levi (love the way this sounds)

Oliver Joseph - "Ollie Joe" as his nickname =)

Also, I love Noah (and I know it has been suggested a few times already) so...

    Noah Matthew or
