Mesh crib guard?

Anyone know what I'm talking about?? I want one of those mesh 'bumpers' that goes inside a crib and attaches in the 4 corners and tops that will keep the kids' legs and arms from being able to poke out the rails of the crib. Not a crib bumper pad that they'll just pull down or put their legs on top of, but something that's tight to the side of the crib so they won't get their arms and legs out. Micah gets his STUCK and then cries. CHUBBY LITTLE BOY! And Emma sticks hers out and sets off her alarms because it messes with the wires. She likes to HANG out of the crib- all 4 limbs- and chew on the slats. Not so good. Also, she grabs the O2 wires and pulse ox cord and pretty much ties them in knots.

So... do you know what I'm talking about? Do you know where I can buy them? I find "bumpers" and not the one that goes all the way to the top of the sides. Does this make any sense?

  2. Um... kindof... except if the crib mattress was down, that wouldn't go to the top of the rails, kwim? So one that goes to the top of the rails when the mattress is lowered. I know I've seen it somewhere!!! THANKS for looking ;)

  3. I have the one from One Step Ahead too. I've noticed they sell it at Babies R Us now too. I've never seen one that goes to the top of the rails. Let us know if you find one.

  4. Could you use ones like are made for the stairs? We have a mesh garde that goes down the side of the stairs you can secure it on the top and bottom. From looking it would be the right size to go around a crib. We got ours at babies-r-us, but happened to see one at Lowe's tonight also. They are with the safety items. Hmmm, I guess I need to try this with Sarah, I am so tired of getting her legs unstuck at night! Good idea.

  5. yep, I got mine at one step ahead too. I have since passed it on but it was great. Stayed in place, didn't get pushed down like regular bumpers. Well worth the money.

    AIRWRAP

AIRWRAP supersedes traditional cot bumpers with its breathable mesh fabric allowing maximum airflow, while protecting baby from knocks and tangling in the framework of the cot.

AIRWRAP’s thin collapsible fabric ensures it cannot be used as leverage to climb from the cot.

AIRWRAP fits most cots including larger brands like Boori. Use AIRWRAP Original for cots with rails on 4 sides and use AIRWRAP - SPS for cots with solid or fixed-ends.

AIRWRAP's padded breathable mesh is tested to world and local standards for breathability.

  12. Meredith, I have one that you can have! It wraps around the top of the rails and goes below the mattress to tie to the bottom. Ties at the sides too. It didn't fit my crib very well, but I still used it and it worked fine. Kaia stuck her arms and legs out of the crib all the time and twisted herself around...I was worried she'd break her leg. It says it fits most cribs, I guess mine wasn't one of them. It's yours if you want it.
