Our trip to the Sanford Zoo

First we saw the animals.  I was disappointed that a lot of exhibits were closed and there really wasn't a whole lot there :(  We spent about 1 1/2 hrs looking at animals then we'd seen them all!  Granted with my crew they didn't exactly linger for a whole long time, but still, there wasn't a lot there.  Also, it was difficult to get around.  The boardwalks were nice, but they about vibrated the kids in the strollers because the boards were so uneven.  Then where it wasn't a boardwalk it was mulch.  NOT good to push a stroller through either!

All in all we had a nice time.  The part the kids ALL liked the best was the "water play" area at the front!  I looked it up online (thank goodness) so was prepared with extra clothes for everyone to go play :)  We spent another hour and a half just in there!  After that we drove home and all the little ones crashed while K played computer and Mommy and Daddy got some down-time.

Enjoy the pictures! (you can click them to see them bigger)

Those holes in the ground are where the water would come out of

  2. Meredith,
I just found your blog a few weeks ago. I am an adoptive parent, but not a parent of a child with DS, so it was really serendipity, that I clicked on the link. I wanted to tell you that your family is beautiful and you are an inspiration. All your children look so happy and healthy. It is wonderful to see what the power of love and adoption will do.
    Best to all of you.

  3. Too cute! I took Devin to Sanford zoo a few months ago, and the paths are horrible! The Brevard Zoo has much nicer pathways, much easier for a stoller (or two!). Sanford was nice, but I enjoy Brevard's Zoo a little more :)

I'm glad you guys had such a good time! The pictures are adorable!
