Teeth grinding??

Not too long ago I remember posting how much Emma's grinding her teeth drove right to my bones and though I was "getting used to it" it's still a sound that makes my skin crawl. And after 'school' yesterday I heard her grind- about 2 seconds worth. It was then that I realized...

EMMA HASN'T BEEN GRINDING HER TEETH FOR WEEKS!! MAYBE MONTHS??

To say I'm relieved is nothing :) I'm SO HAPPY that she's moved past this!!! She still chews on bibs and will occasionally 'grind' on them, but she has not been grinding her 'bare' teeth for quite some time!!!!

  1. YAY!!!

The grinding that Georgiy still does drives me crazy. Fingernails on a chalkboard and all that LOL

  2. That's so cool! I hate teeth grinding too!

Maybe the "link" is that now she's eating and ehewing, she's getting the "input" she needs in her mouth that she may have been looking for by teeth grinding.

  3. chewing is def. better than grinding right? That is like nails on a chalkboard,it just gives me chills. I wonder if it has something to do with feeling more secure

  4. Yay, Emma! I have been following your family's journey for quite a while (through RR). I have listened in on several of the Ukraine chats. Thanks for being such an inspiration to so many of us. Congrats on your new addition! I pray both you and baby do well.

  5. Hate to tell you, but you may find she returns to grinding. Our Anna will do it for a while, it'll drive us crazy then she will stop and we will congratulate ourselves on a job well done for breaking the habit. Of course at that very moment she will take it up again. We are trying gum chewing as a therapy to break it once and for all but right now all she does is swallow the stuff.

  6. Meredith, this is just another example of how all her needs are being met in your loving family. She is one lucky angel!

  7. my son grinds most when he is tired. It's usually a sign for me that it's nap or bedtime.
