Here are a few ways that the FEDS of Brevard have helped our family in the past 2 1/2 years:
- A new baby packet including books with information and photos of children with Down syndrome and an adorable Buddy Walk bear which Brianna still LOVES
- Support meetings monthly that are available to those that would like to attend (your children can come with you).
- An offer and follow-through which provided us with finances for our plane tickets to go get Emma and Micah as well as their plane tickets home!
- They also provide support in other ways such as helping families with expenses for required medical and therapy equipment as well as therapy sessions. These have been offered to our family to help with Emma's needs and we're still figuring out where and how we're going to work these things out.
Please consider supporting our family- the Cornish Crew in our walk this year!
I'm starting with a low goal- just $50/child- and I hope to be able to raise that goal to $150/child if the first goal is met :) That would be $200-600 donated to the FEDS of Brevard! With your help maybe even more!
If you'd like to sponsor our family in the Brevard Buddy Walk, please visit our FirstGiving Site: http://www.firstgiving.com/cornish
You can also make cash donations and I'll bring them the day of the buddy walk!
Also, we're looking for people who would like to join our TEAM and help raise funds and walk with us! You'll join us the day of the Buddy Walk for food and activities and get a t-shirt as well! e-mail me if you're interested! mkp1982@hotmail.com

Hi Meredith, I'm really looking forward to seeing you all at the Buddy Walk. Even though I haven't said hello, I check in everyday to see how you all are and you continue to be in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteLove, Kelley
I've never done a Buddy walk yet. Not sure I ever will. Just not sure why not, I think it is because it is mostly younger families.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize you were in the Brevard one. I have a friend Trina from that area with a child with DS.
