Emma's Journey

This is just a video of Emma this last 9 months. I finally got ONE done, and Micah's is next... then Brianna's and Kristopher's! The video is 7 1/2 minutes long so there's your forewarning that it's long! I hope you enjoy seeing her progress from the first days of February when we met her in Ukraine to now... 9 months, 3 surgeries, and 12 pounds later. Our little miracle girl!

I am so moved by Emma, the last few pics, the Santa hat...omg...in my minds eye I see the little Daria in the green seeater everyone gave up on...everyone but YOU. She has a life, and its a GREAT one. Hug her (and all of them) up for me, willya?

  12. That video was really great! I have started reading over 40 adoption and Ds blogs in the last year but yours has touched me the most. I think about your little Emma and how she has changed. The pictures from Feb. show a glossy-eyed, very thin little girl who doesn't show any interest in life but now she is smiling and joyful. The pictures of her after heart surgery, those with Andrea and the recent ones of her beautiful smile are amazing! They all remind what a miracle she is and what miracles love can work.

  13. I cried through the heart surgery photos, I cannot imagine having my child go through that! It was the picture of all the monitors that touched me! She really has filled out and I LOVE the fact she still plays with her foot! Amazing flexibility!

  18. Renee:
I thought she was absolutely beautiful the first time you posted her picture. Now she is not only beautiful - she's glowing with health. Not just physically, either. Thank God that the way was made for her to join your family.

  23. Wonderful!! It just shows what a "real" family with love and prayers can do. Praise God. I think she need a nick name like Miss Flexible LOL. All of the pictures were great I really enjoyed seeing how she changed...you can really see the difference from when you were in the orphanage with her..there is no sparkle in her eye, but shortly after you could see a different child. I dont know which pict. was my fave but the heart surgery ones were hard to watch...that was so difficult to go through with William, but the Santa hat picts are precious! Can't wait to see M's pictures

  27. Thank you for letting me post this on my blog! I've linked to Micah's video as well! Where do you find the time?

  28. Great video of both kids! I enjoyed watching both of them!

  29. Wow! I just watched hers and Micah's and the changes across the board in both of them are AMAZING! The best for me was seeing life come into their eyes. I don't know how else to explain it but there is a definite difference from the first pics to the ones when they are home and living as part of a family.

Just makes me pray harder to be able to be that family for a child like the children they used to be. Thank you so much for sharing them. I have been encouraged :)
