Emma is self feeding!!

On Wednesday night I took this video of Emma right after she finished speech. In the background you can hear Brianna being redirected with the ST :) Emma had decided during speech that she wanted to eat and had a jar of baby food. I got some good pointers on how to help her get the food off the spoon (right now she isn't closing her mouth around the spoon at all but is 'accepting' the food...). Then I set her in the highchair and handed her a few cereal bits that I'd tried with her before the baby food with the ST. I put one in her mouth- she ate it. I put a second in her mouth, she ate it. I put her hand on one, helped her pick it up, and I helped her get it to her mouth. We've done this routine about a dozen times the past week before but this time it CLICKED! She then picked up the next, and the next, and the next, and now as long as she picks it up with her right hand-- it goes to her mouth. Her left hand, well... she throws those over her shoulder. Can't have it all :) :)

We're so proud of her new skill!!
