Hospital goo

Any tricks for getting the goo from the edge of bandages off of sensitive skin? Emma and Micah both have some and soaping, soaking, scrubbing, and waiting it out a few haven't worked. I'll break out the rubbing alcohol next diaper change. And if that doesn't work? Oh- and I'd like to leave the skin INTACT :) Thanks!

  1. I have some of those adhesive removal wipes just for that purpose. We had that trouble after Carter's surgeries. I actually just came across them Saturday. I'll be glad to bring them by, just let me know :)

  2. For Kallie's stickies from her site changes we use alcohol pads to remove it gently rub over and over and it just rolls off the skin..atleast for Kallie it does.

  3. I would try olive oil first, and dishwashing soap (like Dawn) second. :)

  5. They have pads of removal that you can use. They are a little harsh, but they do seem to work.

  7. We get these fabulous adhesive removes pads from Darah's cardiologist. If you email me your address, mckenna [at] themomcrowd [dot] com, I can mail you some to keep on hand. They work with one wipe and we have another appointment with our cardiologist coming up, so I can give you my stash and reload next time we go in!!

  10. Well, Emma's thigh now smells like beautiful lavender baby oil... but the goo remains. I do like the smell tho! I didn't get to the alcohol yet, then I'll be ringing up Angie for those wipes! Things got a little busy here tonight. I'm sure you can't IMAGINE that happening at our house :) But the goo will wait until tomorrow!
    Thanks for all the ideas!

  11. After they've been in the bath for a little while, either just use a washcloth to gently scrub it off or use rubbing alcohol. Worked for our little girl.
