Someone thought our "down day" wasn't a good idea

Today is going to be our day with no plans... but Emma made some for us. Mike's dropping her and I off at Vanderbilt to get Emma checked out, per her cardiologist's orders. On Saturday she started having burst capillaries from 'simple' things like the seat belt, being picked up under her arms, laying down on a toy, etc.

Hopefully all is well, but we want to get her checked out good anyway.

Thanks, Renee, for calling the Ds Clinic doctor to meet us! We'll update later on but I'm sure things are fine. Better safe than sorry and better while we're by a GOOD hospital then on the road.

  1. In our thoughts and prayers- I agree better safe than sorry....wish Emma would've agreed to a 'down day' though, everyone needs one of those once in a while...

  5. Merideth we are praying for Emma. I called Renee and told her to give you our number. I am only about 20 min away and have the rest of the day free, so I can help out. The kids are welcome to come here and play so Mike can be with you or if you need anything just let me know and I can get it to you.

  9. I know everything will be fine with Emma our prayers are with her. Too bad it wasn't a relaxing day as planned. You should have told her that vacation time is not to be spent checking out local hospitals. LOL

  10. Prayers for Emma - but how fortunate that Vanderbilt was right there. It's a very good hospital and Nashville is a great city -I lived there for a year when I was in grad. school right across the street from the hospital (my old college has an excellent special ed. dept., too, btw). Emma will be/is in very good hands.

I'm just now checking your blog on Tuesday afternoon after a too-hectic Monday kept me from making the online rounds - I hope all is resolved by now, that Emma is feeling fine and doing well, and that your vacation is back on track.

    Best wishes,
Susan up the road in Ky
