Yes, taken out the window, our drive through Nashville, the Capital building and a beautiful cathedral. We didn't get out in the city :)
At the park to meet up with friends-
Renee's beautiful family Kassidy, Kameron, Kennedy, and Keeghan along with Robyn and her two adorable little sweeties, Sarah and Elijah. I don't have many pictures of the "big kids" because they all disappeared into the play set and only reappeared to check in occasionally!
Emma decided to roll in the mulch...
Sarah's just a week different in age from Micah, and she, too, is a gift to her mommy through adoption :)
I love this picture of the boys!
Later on, Cindy and her two boys and her husband joined us as well!
Three of the families went to dinner together at Golden Corral and Renee's mom joined us as well.
Then there was Emma's visit to the ER on Tuesday...
At the Aquarium Restaurant inside the Opry Mills Mall on Tuesday evening. Brianna decided the rest of her Golden Grahams was the best she was going to do for dinner though...
This fish tank is at least 2x the length I have in the picture and is about 10' wide as well and is in the very center of the restaurant from floor to ceiling! They have lots of sharks, manta rays, and huge fish. Emma was absolutely mesmerized and Kristopher loved it too. After a while Micah and Brianna decided it was pretty neat as well :) The entire restaurant was decked out with fish everywhere!
See the diver?? She's behind the big fish. Kristopher, Brianna, and Daddy went right up to the huge tank to see her feeding and petting the fish. It was pretty dark in the restaurant so the pictures didn't turn out that great. I took this shot from our table, though. We were sitting right next to the tank!
This is why you go north in the fall- Kristopher had never really seen the leaves change colors! It was a beautiful drive!
This is actually a rest stop between Nashville and Atlanta... and that is a reservoir. It was beautiful though! From there on south there were beautiful 'mountainous' views that you just don't see in Florida and the Great Smokey's were in true form as the fog lifted over them!
A lady stopped us at the rest stop and offered to take a picture of all of us :) There are nice people out there still!
Looks like everyone is having a wonderful time!!! Thanks for the pictures.
ReplyDeletelove, Mom C
Oh my goodness...I love the photo of Kristopher and Brianna...They're expressions are adorable. Thank you so much for updating you blog often, it makes me smile to hear about your awesome family.
ReplyDeleteAnna :)
(p.s. If you could tell Michael that i still have the camera, and that i totally forgot that you guys were out of town when i tried to return it to his office i would greatly appreciate it. And that it's safe and sound at my house...)
It looks like all of you had a great time. How wonderful to meet all of these online friends...Have you meet Renee or the other family in person before...It must be nice to meet them face to face for the first time (even though it probably seems like you know some of these families alreday). I really like the pic. of Emma sitting on the blanket at the park...she sits so straight!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip home.
A-
very cute! thanks for sharing all the great pics :) now I HAVE to know...what is that pink thing on Sara's shoe??? it almost looks like a childproof thing to keep her from undoing her shoelaces!!!
ReplyDeleteAww these are great! Can you email them to me??? I'm so bummed I have nothing to show from that day! We had such a good time!
ReplyDeleteOK, I am so jealous you got to meet Renee and family! Looks like such a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteOK, I am so jealous you got to meet Renee and family! Looks like such a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! So nice you got to meet other families! Cute bunch of kids all around!
ReplyDeleteHey Merideth! Have fun in Atlanta. I grew up just outside of Atlanta. I would love your pictures of the meet up also. To Jaimie those are childproof ties on Sarah's shoes. She loves to untie and take off her shoes, socks, which then makes way for pants and of course the diaper! I got them at stride rite. They have bells on them and she loves to shake her feet!
ReplyDeleteLove Nashville. Lived there for 11 years before moving to Hotlanta. Hope you have fun visiting here too. The pictures are great.

I've been to that Aquarium Restaurant at Opry, though there were no kids involved... it would probably be even more fun with the ooooohs and ahhhhhhs of the little ones. We (girls weekend) just focused on the yummy food. :o)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great trip! I am so jealous that you got to meet Renee and her crew!!!
ReplyDeletewhat wonderful memories you have caught on camera.
ReplyDeleteI have to ask..are Micah and Emma birth siblings? they look so much alike, but then again, all your children look alike so unless you knew they were adopted, you would never guess...they are so beautiful..
So glad your trip took a turn for the better! It looks as if everyone is having a great time, and the fall colors in the mountains are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThere's a marvelous aquarium in Chattanooga that your children would love - you ride to the top on a very long escalator (or elevator, if you want/need to take the big stroller), then descend down a series of ramps built between huge tanks. Very cool place!
Best wishes,
Susan in Ky
Oh how fun! I didn't realize you were going to meet up with everyone! I'm so jealous!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the fall colors. I'm even farther north (PA) and it's still decidedly un-Autumn looking around here, so I'm surprised the trees there are already changing.
What a great picture of Brianna and Kristopher! Your whole family is precious! It is great that you ar able to get away from the daily and enjoy each other! God Bless You All! Meridith, you and Michael are showing so many a glimpse of God's love for us!
ReplyDeleteHow busy! You guys look like you did a lot. It was fun looking at all the pictures. I felt like I was there with you.
