When all else fails... wash with bleach!

Tonight I put Brianna in the tub with just a little water, knowing she generally decides that's the perfect opportunity to let loose a BM... she didn't let me down. Drain the tub, wash the tub, put the toys back in, refill the tub... THEN wash the child :) I'm learning...

So then I put in Emma and Micah and the three sit and play and I watch them enjoying themselves... it was quite fun for the three of them I'm sure. Until Brianna had another BM. Why does she not cease to amaze me? She outsmarted the old lady. HMPH! LOL Another round of cleaning but this time with just tap water to rinse with and everyone got clean.

The tub then got a nice scrub down with bleach :) I know I'm not the only one who has a child who poops in the tub... but has your kid already outsmarted you too!?? :) :)

  1. You have to admit. Poop in the tub is better than poop dripping down the high chair at a restaurant. Am I right?

  2. I wonder if the warm water relaxing her muscles has anything to do with it? Just a thought.

  3. Xander now takes showers because of this very issue!!! I did not mind cleaning the tub every single night until the little booger decided that he wanted to attempt to throw the poop out of the tub! So, no more baths for him....unless daddy is home and agrees to clean it up!

  5. Yes, I had one "poop-meister" as we used to call him. EVERY time we put him in the tub he would poop! I hear you! And yes, I STILL clean my tub with bleach and I don't have any tub poopers anymore! :)

  6. Well, Matilda used to do that until she potty trained. I guess I'm lazy, cause I hated having to empty and clean the tub every time mid-bath; so now I make them all wear swim-diapers in the bathtub. That way, if they poop, I just have to clean the culprit!

  7. OHH MAN! Koby did this one time, and it freaked him out! He never did it again!I was laughing because it was just funny boy HOW upset he was! I know Mom of the year! But anyway, best of luck with you pooper!

  8. Jonathan has done it a couple times. I know this may sound strange, but could she sit in her own little tub/bin IN the tub with the others? Then if/when she poops, only she has to get out and it's less mess and not as difficult with the other kids? You could then just dump that tub and water down the toilet with the offending poop! I think of this because Jonathan has a small rubber duck tubby that we use in the tub to limit his excursions in the tub unless it's a "play" bath. It's a lot easier to clean him when he doesn't have as far to go, lol. We also use a big tote, with high sides, at our cottage for Jonathan and any other littler kid to take a bath in, since we only have a shower there. We either sit the tub in the kitchen or in the shower stall itself. Just a thought. Yes, there is nothing quite like a floater in the tub...ugh!

  9. OK 9 kids and 3 that were "tub poopers" I don't think it's ever easy or fun!!!

I'm pregnant with #10 and now from this post it makes me think...should I be praying for a non-tub pooper? I mean really I start praying day one for this baby's health, sleep habits, why not poops?! OK just a thought!

Congratulations, on the baby!!! I just love you kiddos/family!

  11. Emma hasn't done that to me yet... but when she was still in her crazy explosive, loose, exclusive breast feed stage; she got my mom... ALL over the tub!!! It was HILARIOUS... only because it didn't happen to me!!
