We're not coming home

And even though we knew it was a possibility, we are completely bummed.

More later.  Flights are booked, weather is awful in Frankfurt causing all kinds of delays and people rescheduling trying to get home when we are, so we may be delayed even longer just to be able to get ON a flight.

Please just pray that we can let go and let God and deal with the changes with grace.

More later... including pictures from some special visitors.  It's really been a great day, aside from that news...

Jeff and the kids are scheduled to leave Kiev Dec. 24 flying into Frankfurt. Do you think we should re-route them to another airport?

  4. Meredith,
So sorry, but as you know, the really important thing is that you do have your kids, some are with you, some are with their daddy, and the exact date that you celebrate Our Savior's birth can be pushed back a little.
    Praying for your peace.

  5. I had a feeling this would happen as I have been watching the news about Frankfort. The up side is at least you have a warm apartment to stay in, verses being stuck in the airport with the two kids and nowhere to sleep, etc. What an exciting story to tell them when they are older about their first Christmas in Russia as a family!! Make the best of it and make some memories!! God bless!
