Brianna broke her arm :( She has a 'pressure fracture' on her radius and ulna on her right arm. When she fell she caught herself with her arm and on the x-rays of her right arm it's smooth except an area that the bone 'crunched' on itself. She came home in a splint and will need to be casted next week and in it for a month.
I'm glad we went ahead and had it checked out! It's so hard to know whether anything's really wrong or not so better safe than sorry... but in this case she really did hurt herself pretty good.
Tylenol- and no more climbing- and she's doing good!
Aw, poor thing! Casts are such a pain, I hope she heals quickly!
ReplyDeleteAwww, the poor little punkin'. Praying for good pain control and healing, and sleep for Mommy and Daddy, as well as little Bri.
ReplyDeleteahhhh the foosh fracture. poor kid. hope it feels better. I am surprised I havent had any broken kids with all the climbing they do. I hope her month in cast goes super fast!
ReplyDeletePoor baby! Does this mean no playing in the pool for a month? My one suggestion if the cast stays on and it gets itchy, resist the idea of putting baby powder down the cast. I did that one time on a cast on my leg and it stunk to high heaven after a while!
ReplyDeleteAwww I hope she is better soon
ReplyDeleteI hope she is feeling better soon. They have cast material that can get wet in the bath, pool, etc. Just in case you didn't know.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't checked this all weekend but had been thinking aboout her and praying. Glad you got it checked out. I know Tim's cast didn't even bother him--he still acted like a little monkey! :)
