Our Valentine's Day

Yesterday we had a nice day at home with the kids, playing, making a lazy day of it... Mike made french toast for the kids for breakfast and we did a few things here and there around the house. Then in the afternoon two college girls from church had offered to Mike to watch the kids for us. So they along with the 3 younger sisters of one of the girls (two teens and one and almost 3) came over to watch our crew. Oh, and the youngest little girl happens to have a little something extra called Down syndrome too :) So the four adult-ish people and the five little guys hung out for about 2 hours and decoraged mini cupcakes, ate dinner, and played!

Meanwhile, Mike and I went out to an early dinner at a local cafe then for a walk down by the river. It was nice to have just a bit of time out without the kids, and the restaurant we chose is one that doesn't have children's selections and generally takes... forever... so we don't bring the kids there. We hadn't been in over a year!

So, thank you Anna and Kristen, and A, C, and little A for coming over on Valentine's day to spend time with our kids and allow us a nice day out!

  2. I'm glad you guys had fun! I was certainly blessed by your kids on Valentines day. Thank you!

And yes, Micah was one of the content ones. He found delight in almost everything, and his laughter is priceless!
