Have you adopted a child with special needs?

We'd love to feature your story on the Reece's Rainbow blog during Adoption Awareness Month (November). Whether you adopted domestically or internationally, regardless of the special needs, and regardless of whether you adopted through Reece's Rainbow or another means, we are looking for families to share their stories! Leave me a comment with your e-mail address (I turned moderated comments back on so that your e-mails won't be published) and I'll send you more info!

Don't forget to check out all the adorable faces on the RR blog this month as Down syndrome awareness month there's been a different featured child each day! Also, check in next month to read these neat features of special families! www.ReecesRainbow.BlogSpot.com

And don't forget that the RR Angel Tree Project begins on November 1st too! You don't know what that is? No worries, I'll be posting soon about that too ;) But briefly, it's a fundraiser that is an awesome way to do a gift for those people in your life that you never know what to get for them... You know, teachers, therapists, white elephant parties, grandparents, and anyone else!

Edited to add: Thank you to all who have e-mailed me! I have about 20 families that have expressed interest so far and I'm hoping for about 10 more! Please leave a comment with your e-mail address if you're interested!

  6. Hey, I would love to help if needed. Just let me know.

Also, I would not want our last names used. I would doubt that Sarah's birthparents would see it, but since we have a semi-open adoption, I try to protect our last name and contact information.
    Thanks,
    Robyn

  7. Hi Meredith,

I'd love to share our story but it will be long. Actually Andrea asked us to last year and I was not able to participate. We have a mega large family- 22 children and many of our blessings are special needs. We have 5 bio and 17 adopted children. We came home at the end of June with 5 from Ukraine... the link to our blog is http://blessedbyachild.blogspot.com/

  11. Hi Mer!
Mary Stolz here. If you still need any more stories, I'd love to contribute. I pop in daily at RR, but I have started back to work and don't have time to read all emails. I scan for "interesting" topics, then follow a few blogs. And of course, keep looking at yours to see the adorable pics! I just LOVE seeing all of these kids doing so well.
If you need another story, I'd love to contribute. Joey is doing very well, and we have one of the "oldest" adoptions. He was 6, almost 7, and is 8 now.
    Let me know
